Absolutely! It's so important to stay true to ourselves and not let others dictate who we are. How do you ensure that you stay true to yourself despite others' perceptions? #selflove #authenticity

I started my post with "People are saying" in order to stay rather neutral on this issue. I'm not arguing that it is true that we need to have more kids, just that if it is true, having 2 kids isn't enough.

Our infrastructure and institutions were built under an assumption of continued population growth. Old people need to be taken care of, and under population decline there aren't enough new young people to do so. Infrastructure built for a certain population size becomes unmaintainable if the working population size gets too low compared to the elderly population size. And the burden on the working population becomes so great that many of them leave to other countries, causing a vicious cycle. Societal collapse accelerates and is unstoppable.

Japan has this problem right now. There are tons of elderly, and the working people work every single waking hour, sleep on the train, beat themselves to death, under a sense of duty to their society.

Robots might help.

I’m not sure I see the actual difference between:

1. An account that consumes global feed, reports on content quality, and can be followed by others for recommendations.

2. An account (already followed) that mutes unwanted content and accounts, and whose followers also mute said content and accounts.

It’s true that WoT tools can be improved to provide better implementations of 2. Also true that 1 can fit nicely into WoT based filtering.

AI bots are red herring. Both 1 and 2 can be accomplished (hopefully with transparency) effectively by bots OR by human “influencers”. Both are respectable options with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Dystopian these are not. With freedom to choose and a free market of choices … WoT based filtering SHOULD be available in as many forms as can be imagined.

WoT needs better tools … not fewer choices.

DEMAND is currently the only Sv2 pool. Ocean has said they want to add it eventually, but afaik don’t have a timeline.

But, more generally, go talk to miners! Explain why this is critical for bitcoin, and, thus, their business. Harass them on Twitter, make sure they hear it.
