Spotify recently updated their streaming payout threshold to stop allowing anything under $1,000. That's a massive number of streams before an artist will see a payout. Many artists live week by week, dollar by dollar and some we've spoken with are homeless. This a major blow to indie artists who aren't already famous and probably not as desperate for money. This is why we went with Lightning payments and only have a 1 sat minimum for payouts. All payout requests are filled within 24 hours to an artist's defined Lightning Address. Time to stop screwing over the little guys.
