#China’s factories moving to third countries is a loss for China. Whether those third countries use China’s digital infrastructure is an entirely different issue, @davidpgoldman.

#Chinese goods manufactured in third counties result in far less benefit to #China than goods made in China itself. Let’s raise #tariffs to force factories to leave China. And by the way, many of these factories will not be China-owned.

#China’s boom, according to #Beijing’s statistics, started in 1977 and has continued uninterrupted since. The inevitable adjustment, therefore, will be severe and, in all probability, long-lasting. From all indications, the downturn will be soon.

We #Americans have allowed #China’s diplomats, over the course of decades, to violate our sovereignty and break our laws. This is our country, and it’s way past time to expel #Chinese diplomats—and remove our leaders and officials who still accept this conduct.
