In the past, #China’s economic statistics were inaccurate but at least showed trends. Now, from all indications, they don’t even do that.

#China’s exaggeration of economic statistics has become far worse this year. Essentially, #Chinese reports are baloney.

Why did you not impose these #tariffs three years ago, @POTUS? #China’s predatory and criminal practices existed on the day you took office.

If you’re so determined, @POTUS, why haven’t you vigorously enforced our laws banning the importation of goods made with forced or slave labor? Most of #China’s green products are made with such labor.

Let’s be precise: “Conversion to #EVs and solar” is horrible for the environment because of, among other things, mining, processing, and disposal. Such conversion, of course, is better for the #climate. We have not had a national conversation about whether this trade off is wise.

#China is building carriers, which suggests these vessels can be defended in highly contested environments.

No one knows if #China’s anti-ship missiles, which are themselves vulnerable to countermeasures, actually work. If they do work, our carriers are “sitting ducks.” If they don’t, our carriers will rule.

It’s great news that the #Philippines will maintain a “prolonged presence” at #SabinaShoal, but to protect itself from #China #Manila will need to station vessels at all its shoals, reefs, and islets. It’s time for the #USNavy to pitch in.
