#American policy has allowed #China’s proliferation of nuclear weapons to dangerous states—most notably #Iran and #NorthKorea—while stopping democracies from developing them. Our policy was just this side of insanity.

Yes, #China’s “powerful political, business, and financial constituencies” are inhibiting reform, but those constituencies arose because of ideology. And it is #XiJinping’s firm ideological beliefs that entrench the #CCP’s existing system.
