🌋 Tether Throws $1 Billion into Crafting El Salvador's Volcano Bitcoin Mine!
Tether has jumped on board a new billion-dollar renewable energy project in El Salvador called "Volcano Energy". This ambitious initiative aims to create a 241 MW renewable energy park, utilizing the region's solar and wind power, to support one of the world's largest Bitcoin Mining Farms.
The site, in Metapán, Santa Ana, will generate a mix of 169 MW photovoltaic solar energy and 72 MW of wind energy, providing computational power surpassing 1.3 EH/s.
With this strategic investment, Tether is aiming to become a leader in global renewable energy and mining infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in Bitcoin mining.
Will definitely take longer. Or, alternatively, Ethereum may morph into something like centralized corporation pretending to be a decentralized system with Vitalik sitting on top of the pyramid and milking the crypto bros.
Certainly seems to be moving that way.
