I did that and it feels great. I self host SearX for Search, Nextcloud for Calendar, drive, and contacts, Nostr Relay, Iris, Fediverse instance, Gitea.

Ungoogled Chromium works very well and all websites are very fast, but for some weird reason Google Translate and Google Drive are horribly slow and laggy. Gmail, Google Meet and Google Calendar are fine.

Damus can be great if you turn off a few of the big relays on Global with the new filter option. Less spam this way .

I turn off the damus relay, nos.lol, nostr.band, mutinywallet and snort.social for Global
