Just for the record, I do think industrial waste is an issue in technology. The "Right to Repair" would stop much of it, combined with distros making sure they leave "old functionality" in.

It ain't just cultural. A kilt isn't called a dress, and women were not allowed to be actresses which might have been a good call given Hollywood.
