Supporting Oslo Freedom Forum '24 🎊
We're thrilled to be supporting #Oslo24 this year with a donation of 50 Passports to freedom activists speaking and attending this year's event, working closely with @BTCsessions to select and onboard recipients.

Passport v2.3.1 is out now 🫡
With this version of Passport’s firmware we’ve added connections to @TheyaBitcoin, @ZeusLN, and @CoinbitsApp, updated dependencies, and made reproducible builds more resilient to upstream changes.

It’s time for a big Reveal — say hello to our new home, foundation.xyz 🏠
Our website and domain have served us well, but we’ve long since outgrown the “Devices” moniker. To pave the way for a new wave of freedom tech from our team, we’re launching a new site today 🧵
https://v.nostr.build/kyMA.mp4
While we may have started as a purely hardware-focused company, we’ve grown and evolved into a freedom tech company that encompasses hardware, software and Bitcoin self-custody tools. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve planned in a HUGE 2024 that will even better reflect this!
With all of this, it’s time to shift from our old http://foundationdevices.com domain to a new, improved, and more accessible http://foundation.xyz.
Our website now properly reflects our design-first approach and our simple, intuitive user experiences that grow with you.
A huge part of the new experience is letting you have your voice be heard, as we now feature real user feedback on every product page.
Ever wondered what other Envoy or Passport users think of the experience? Wonder no longer 📺
https://foundation.xyz/passport/
Another core part of our effort has always been going above and beyond when it comes to customer support, but we never had a proper support page.
All that has changed, with an entire page dedicated to contacting our support, reading FAQs, and much more.
https://foundation.xyz/support/
Speaking of customer support — now our Concierge white-glove service has a new home, giving you everything you need to know about it.
Going from zero to self-custody has never been easier than with Passport + Concierge.
https://foundation.xyz/concierge/
We also have a deep passion for user education here at Foundation and wanted to better reflect that in our blog.
We’ve drastically improved our blog, with better readability, better formatting, and easier navigation.
Take a peek 👇
Want to deep-dive into the specifics of our devices security model? Or simply learn more about the deep ethos of personal privacy that goes into how we design all of our products?
Now you can do that at a glance on our new Security page.
https://foundation.xyz/security/
We can’t wait to hear your feedback on our new site!
We have a HUGE week of giveaways, games, and celebrations planned for this week, so be sure to follow us to be sure you don’t miss out 👀
🚀 Brace yourselves, because Envoy v1.6 has just landed.
Discover the highlights of our latest release:
**⏩ Full “replace-by-fee (RBF)” control is here!
✍️ Custom Passport Names
🖥️ Redesign of address and amount displays
🌐 Improved Tor support**

**⏩ Replace-by-fee control**
RBF allows you to boost the fee on a transaction you’ve sent that’s stuck surfing the mempool, or even cancel an in-flight transaction and send it back to yourself. Just tap on a transaction that is unconfirmed and quickly Boost or Cancel it in Envoy.
But how do you actually use it? Simply tap “⏩ Boost” when viewing a pending transaction’s details to get your transaction back to the top of the queue.
Sent a transaction by mistake? You can also tap “❌ Cancel Transaction” and send the funds back to yourself using RBF as well.

**✍️ Custom Passport Names**
When you set a custom name for your Passport, now that name will show up automatically in the Devices tab on Envoy.
Have multiple Passports in the house? Now you can easily tell them apart in Envoy using custom names! 🫡

**🌐 Improved Tor performance**
Improved Tor performance on iOS (and some Android vendors), especially when it comes to getting fiat exchange rates. Updated Arti (the Rust-native Tor library) in our library to the latest version, v1.1.12.
Keeping privacy simple one step at a time. ✌️
🖥️ **Redesigned Address & Amount Screen**
We’ve also brought a redesign of address and amount displays to Envoy, making it easier to view amounts (in sats or BTC) and verify addresses.
A special thanks to the fantastic Bitcoin Design community for spearheading the concept here! Sexy!

Whilst these are the major highlights, there's many more bug fixes and improvements packed into this release! Dive into the complete release notes below:
