Bitcoin didn't make sense until I understood the existing Fiat System better. Here is an excerpt from Adam Lebor's 'Tower of Basel' about he Bank of International Settlements which is basically a bunch of elites who align central bank policy around the world. As such they can control the cost of money globally and turn on an off fiat money expansion and control economies which are based on debt and hence can be controlled by the cost of that debt being controlled. Im sure there is more influence on the US Treasury market which I havent quite understood yet...
BTC represents a new system where the supply of money cant be centralized and controlled like in the fiat system. Instead if it more distributed and on a schedule created by the BTC Network of miners (energy tie), nodes and consensus rules.

I usually recommend people to buy a small amount and slowly DCA in as a way to avoid this kind of stuff. So far they've all listened sort of. They actually don't get the DCA strategy and instead buy $500 bucks worth and just leave it there I assume cos they don't actually understand it enough to commit more but hey they gotta start someplace.

You recently posted about finding connection to god being difficult. Can I suggest that focussing on culture war stuff will stop you from finding God. Listening to Tom Luongo and Dan Held yesterday and Dan was saying mining is centralized to 2 companies controlling about 60% of the mining power. How can this lead to an issue for BTC being decentalized? I assume if they control a lot of the hash power they can try to rewrite the time chain and potentially create a ledger which able to be controlled ie double spend etc. They could potentially create a new time chain in competition with the original and then players like Blackrock can choose to use that chain perhaps.
I heard mention of block templates also. Where is a resource that can help me understand this potential vulnerability more?
Are people out there concerned about this? i dont hear much talk about it but maybe thats because its uncomfortable for us to talk about vulnerabilities of our beloved BTC.

Its really quite eye opening. I would also recommend the books and interviews of Richard Poe who outlines how Communism was a British invention as 'controlled opposition' and blamed on Jewish influence. Same old story. I disagree with him slightly but only that the British as a group is the incorrect way to think about it and its better to think about the powers that be as Networks of people across countries as oppossed to one specific nation.
