Can anyone explain or point me to a good article that will help me understand how to calculate on-chain fees? Have never quite grasped this. 51sat/vB how many vB in an average transaction? I have somewhere read about 250? So I estimate by doing 51 * 250 = 12,750sats as a mining fee? Is this pointing in the right direction? Would love some help.

I find it telling that the two Sith Lords to bring down the Republic, Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious, were a banker and a politician. (For those who know their Star Wars lore) I’m currently reading JÖRG GUIDO HÜLSMANN’s book ‘The Ethics of Money Production’, and just read the following quote,

“The inflation of bank- notes sucked as many resources out of the rest of the economy as debasement would have, if not more. And it established a permanent partnership between governments and banks.“ -pg.138

I highly recommend this book. Extremely informative and clearly written. Easy for a monetary layman like me to read.

I used astral before Damus came out. I ALWAYS found it slow. I recently upped my Damus speed by adding more relays. That helped a lot! So maybe more/better relays.

I was wondering when exactly Natalie’s and Lynn’s new conversation took place when I realized I could see the Block Time behind Lynn. I looked up block 78096? (Cause I couldn’t see the last number but close enough) and could see in the mempool that it was roughly 6? hours ago. I’ve always thought blockclocks were just a fun bitcoin toy to have in the background but the real world application for news and information just hit me. ❤️🧡💜
