This will be kind of a long note, but here it goes.

Yesterday a friend of mine was wondering about investing in stocks. She knows I’m interested in Bitcoin so she asked me about investing in stocks.

Clearly I told her that I know nothing about stocks, I said I can only recommend investing in Bitcoin, and that it’s better than stocks. And by that I wasn’t even gonna say how Bitcoin is a better form of money.

She then proceeded: for instance, if you only invest 1K in Bitcoin, there’s not really that much to it, right?

So I asked her how would investing 1K in stocks be that much better?

Clearly she didn’t know the answer to that, saying “it depends on what stock you’re buying?”

Being in the Bitcoin space for a while now, it’s a fact that Bitcoin is the best performing “asset” of the last decade, I know that, and you know that. So I showed her a comparison of the BEL20 (20 most capitalized stocks in Belgium) vs Bitcoin and tbh even I was shocked 😅. At the time I didn’t find the statistics that nostr:npub1sec6degc3ae7warveuxaz6dlffnc2sutwtqjr7pmll7sf7ypjngsd4p0l7 once made, so I tried looking up the charts by myself.

If you invested €1000 in the so called coronacrash and held until now, it would approximately be worth €1790.

Now if you had bought €1000 in Bitcoin back then, your investment would be worth around €16430 (and you’d own the hardest money ever!)

Now of course I told her that if she wants to buy Bitcoin, she should only invest money that she’s afford to lose, especially being new to all this.

I also told her about DCA, and why that would be a better strategy (no matter what you invest in).

I then sent her the “Bitcoin in 10 minutes” pdf by nostr:npub1sqzr42dj8vx32yd5jcvvl3ytux45kl0etgf6y2ymjvmd7lqmuwmqk9vk7v , which I hope she will read lol.

Anyways, I tried to be not too technical with all this here. I wasn’t really trying to teach her about Bitcoin either, since she didn’t really asked for it, and I didn’t want to sound like the crazy Bitcoiner either 😂. So not sure if I actually orangepilled someone here, at least it was something 🤷🏼‍♂️

I hope she’ll read that paper, and will actually study Bitcoin.

Then hopefully, we will have another Bitcoiner soon 🤞🏻🧡.

Yeah, I can get used to this.

Since Self-custody is "for paranoid" people:

this is a seedphrase service; created by a child, by hand, never was online, no hardware, no Mickey Mouse entropy chips and no toy-like hardware wallets involved: just dice, a pencil, some time and a calculator tool (offline!!!).

Use with pass-phrase on top of this and you're going.

This is going to be the way from now on for many people.

The seeds are all out of stock, new will be made coming days.

"All you need is some dice, some time, and a pencil"

We're in a war. You can either ignore it and hide like a bitch, ... or fight for future generations to have hard, sound money. Most people in Bitcoin aren't even aware they're in a trench war. They're looking at their helmets and asking:

'Can I get this in orange?' while hugging a stuffed cartoon character they bought at a conference.

Our fight is against parasitic systems and the proof-of-stake laziness they've inherited from the 17th century to today.

Thede parasites won't give up just because we have 77,000 lines of code floating around and have a thoughtful sticker on a pole.

They'll let their order-follower fiat goons knock on your door, steal, murder, and corrupt anyone and anything.

Fight them for real.

So Saylor is a spook.

What a ... Total non-surprise.

Zodadelijk om 14u21 komt "Episode 141" uit. Over "The distributional consequenses of Bitcoin" . We geven wat commentaar en vertalingen voor de mensen die het paper nog niet hebben kunne lezen.

If the purchasing power of Euro currency goes down for good, then the existence of Euros impoverishes both early birds, latecomers and holders of eurocoins.
