nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s can you add a fix-case filter? :-)
Indeed, in the podcast episode we introduce the idea of Ocean 2 for better comparison. But right now there is no Ocean 2, though we did not get into arguments about market efficiency :-)

The other benefit of Ocean is that it's much easier to verify how much fee revenue you're actually getting. Though miners can also just A/B test their hash power to figure out which pools pays better.
But they're also missing out on out-of-bound payments by not having an accelerator.
Today nostr:npub1art8cs66ffvnqns5zs5qa9fwlctmusj5lj38j94lv0ulw0j54wjqhpm0w5 and I explain the new nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze mining pool and its tides system. We also welcome our new sponsor Coinkite!

Addendum: it looks like they added additional filtering related to inscriptions, beyond the op_return stuff we mention (which inscriptions don't use)
Respect to the man in the ice cream van!
You heard it here first, nostr:npub1art8cs66ffvnqns5zs5qa9fwlctmusj5lj38j94lv0ulw0j54wjqhpm0w5 and I just dropped episode 85! It covers Bitcoin Core v26 as well as the recent OFAC situation.
Back in 2021 MARA announced that they were going to do this, and even put an OP_RETURN statement in their Coinbase transaction to that effect. But afaik they never actually did. After* our podcast on the topic they backed out and even replaced their CEO:

* = correlation, causation, etc
Excellent analysis by nostr:npub1kyxqqqq8n2pu7f5pthr48zqcmr2k52vrud6wxzjpg0jsqcyhs3tshfc6vv. It was subsequently confirmed by Wan Chun of F2Pool, but they've decided to stop filtering transactions for now.

Clearly you should do the high time preference thing :-)
I'm going to wait and see how many people get thrown out of helicopters before going there :-)
OpenAI has just booted Sam Altman as CEO and removed him from the Board of Directors and they are not being shy about their reasons.

Not a good time for Sam *man these days?
My Twitter account was nuked for that "reason" for about three months before spontaneously being unnuked. I still have no idea what triggered it. Good luck!
Because Utrecht canals have these low level terraces that are ideal when you want to jump over a bridge.
Fun fact about #Utrecht: shops, bars and restaurants around the canals are supplied by (mostly electric) boat. Garbage is also collected that way. It's necessary because the 14th century cellars below the street can't handle the load of trucks. It also means less traffic and engine noises in the pedestrian shopping area.
This is both good and worrying news. The EU is pushing Apple to prematurely adopt RCS, which (if I understand correctly) does not support end-2-end encryption.
It would be a step back if people switch from WhatsApp to this, which some anti-privacy elements in the EU would be happy about. Worst case the EU lobbies against strong encryption in the RCS standard.
At the same time Apple says they'll work on improving the standard, so IF they succeed then that would be good. No more need to use a Zuck product to talk to boomers and non-technical people.
