The Nanny State-ification of America is getting truly ridiculous.

The tone of this note is not constructive will only cause more people to question the motives behind the rejection of Peter Todd's grant application.

A constructive response would at least make some reference to the specific proposal's faults, or the specific shortcomings in the applicant's credentials, but instead he childishly makes fun of Peter without even having the courage to mention his name.

It is absolutely detestable that this individual, who operates a company that profits from bitcoin products that are not open source, and that had to be publicly pressured to take down marketing claims of those products being open source, is in a position where he influences decisions on literally millions of dollars of funding for other, legitimate, open source builders.

One phenomenon I’ve noticed is that many people, perhaps most, outsource their opinions to a single media personality they admire, whether it's Rachel Maddow, Bari Weiss, Sam Harris, Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes, Joe Rogan, or countless others.

This energy-saving mechanism—mimicking the opinions of someone you generally agree with—is efficient but also a form of idolatry.

Better to form one’s own opinions from multiple sources and reserve judgment on issues you haven't explored than to blindly adopt another's views. In short, don't turn your favorite media figure into your personal lord and savior.

I tend to agree with you. They do have a lot of BTC though. Maybe they just leave it where it is and dont make it a treasury asset.
