yeah but you dont eat them all at once, so it works out nicely. :-) I just put one scoop in my stew yesterday, and I still have so mas lentils in that tub.

but over the next year will be buying more, because diesels will be banned from the road within 2 years here in california, and thats going to jack food prices through the roof because self driving stupid electric trucks are very expensive to run, and take forever to do the same job.

those look fantastic ! :D bon appetit

God bless your little puppers... I hear you there. We're all going through something or other. Thank you for sharing that. :) I have an older cat. (16).

If you need an idea of something cheap you can get that'll feed you a long while, they sell 25lb tubs of lentils on amazon (look up https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BP4GSQMP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) for example. they are quite delicious.

no, but just figured i'd let you know. if you assemble a team to do it, im sure that there are plenty of people that know how and collectively could use the 240,000

films from that time period are generally really fun.

:)

stallman? im sure he's around here somewhere. but he probably doesnt need anyones money.

I'm still 270$ behind on paying server bills for the month though. I'm on a fixed income and have to renew all the domains this month.

how's your morning Ryan ?

thats rather optimistic. :) i think its going to dillute the value of real art to the point where nobody will pay for it.

old artists that are actually artists wont want to use ai in general, because it doesn't feel like art, it feels like doing an exercise in button pushing. until you really create something, and do it over and over again, slowly refining your skill, there isn't mastery.

and until you get that mastery in your craft, you dont .. you dont need to take shortcuts, you just know how to do it, and that road was long, and had many trials of learning upon it, and it was earned.

ai art isn't earned. it's just some fancy looking BS a computer spat out.

however, there are some things that are incredibly hard to operate, that might appeal to that aspect, but it's still demonic technology, and i'll be happy to see it go the way of the dodo, worldwide, as soon as possible.

as a blanket "controversial yet imporant software contributors" over the years.

both are shrouded in controversy. but yeah, at least stallman appears to be functional somewhat.

if you think you can replace github with a nostr type equivalent, dorsey is paying 10 btc bounty for that. ;)

tell me all of the things. 😄 How has it all went?

"I don't like it, there's a certain thing the UI does thats just strange, and not efficient at all, by any means."

😂

Man is a genius, controversial just like Hans Reiser, but hey would we have gcc without him? Not like it is now.

"polite hat tip." morning. I'm always well, by his grace alone. Working on a few things, and looking at another film perhaps. But likely just a bit of it tonight.

Watched this fantastic documentary called "I am just another you" about a homeless kid from Utah and it contrasts with his family and so on. really interesting.

Earlier, got out and enjoyed a nice walk (1.2 miles), and enjoyed all the sounds and sights of getting out and talking to a few familar faces.

:)

What have you been up to ? Did you go to wedding #3 yet ?

for the youngins that do ai art:

if us old folks dont get it, its because we used to dream stuff like this and then write it down or tell other people about it, otherwise there's no point in sharing such an interesting concept.

although this is further complicated by the fact that you basically just told an open API a few words you were thinking of, and picked the first thing it generated that made you happy to look at.

as a lifelong artist, humbly this is basically terrifying, because people will slowly (or very quickly) lose the ability to daydream and create things, in their own minds eyes.

because this will seem so fantastic it will generationally affect a large percentage of people. who will be totally unable to do anything or imagine anything, without a computer. at some point.

That's where this thing is headed, but more importantly ai exists to get a demon in every person, by their unwitting participation. More on that another time, though.

that is very surrealist.

granted ai did this, but it's an interesting ensemble.

Good morning Amanda, how are you ?

learn how to use photoshop type apps and vector illustration programs.

if you have an ipad affinity designer is fantastic, and affinity photo is very capable.

dont compare your efforts and learning to the computer generated art,

but, do it the right way, invest the time to learn it.

you'll likely be glad you did.
