Bitcoin is private because of Lightning?

Okay. Lightning's total capacity is 0.002% of the total supply of bitcoin (5,000/21,000,000)

Let's stop pretending that a total network capacity of $500,000,000 is enough to satisfy big accounts like that of Lazarus, countries or billionaires.

Buy your coffee and shut up.

For everything else, use #Monero if you value privacy.

Let's just ignore lightning and compare layer 1 #bitcoin to layer 1 #monero

Anything else is disingenuous

That Bitcoin will get swapped for #monero if they want real privacy.

I keep hearing about this privacy lightning affords.

Sure maybe for a few bitcoins... But the capacity for the network is > 5,000.

Imagine Lazarus trying to use hundreds or thousands of bitcoin on the LN network.

Base layer privacy actually means something people, come on.

2nd layers are extra attack surfaces, can be surveilled, and don't have sufficient capacity for big players with big dick money...

If nostr got big wouldn't it be trivial to use to feed the LLM machine?

Or is that not what you're referring to?

This is what my 3 year old asks me to read him.

I'm doing something right.

Cheers

And no that's not plastic.

2035 PoV

Man rolls dice.

Uses calculator to make transactions.

Stamps 24 words into steel.

Owns dozens of their onchain UTXOs 😲.

Even spending thousands of sats to coin join them.

Back before self custodial bitcoin use was outlawed and everyone was forced to use numbered accounts.

IOU abstracted systems like a CC or ecash CAN be private. They're also dependent on trusted 3rd parties... Soooo... Not Bitcoin

Right, but no LIVING doctors assert that vaccines cause autism...

So they don't. Right? Right??

Is your spending account the sole way you interact with Bitcoin though? That doesn't include how you acquired it or how you sell it for fiat (assuming you ever do).

Also starting a sentence with, "I don't care if I get rugged..." Is telling in and of itself.

Again the 6th monkey says, Bitcoin is trustless.

Which actually is true.

Therefore ecash IS NOT Bitcoin
