At 1:25:59 discussing Open AI shifting to for profit, Chamath Palihapitiya says that “there is not a single human being on Earth who given the chance to found a successful tech company would do it in a non profit way or non commoditized way” but this is exactly what Satoshi Nakamoto appears to have done with #Bitcoin as it was created pseudonymously and the earliest mined coins were not sold or traded.
