Been saying this for years - in fact, I just voiced it again yesterday in a group discussion. It is my sincere belief that the gold (maybe all, maybe just a significant portion of same) that supposedly exists at Fort Knox was delivered out many decades ago to places like Israel, China, maybe even European countries, in exchange for influence, graft, money laundering, et cetera. Even if the USG were to attempt to resuscitate the gold standard, a run on the assets would quickly prove that "there is no 'there' there".

Canada did actually audit their gold holdings a few decades ago and came up short. Nothing was done about it - no investigations, nothing. But they did at least admit that the audit failed.

And remember all the gold/precious metals supposedly held at the WTC? I remember people asking about it, but I don't remember ever hearing any response to those queries.

Given that Afghanistan supplies roughly 90% of the world's opium, which is used to produce heroin, it's quite interesting to see how such an ancient place operates, and how the Taliban, who now control it, in fact have ended Opium production.

Makes you think why they got invaded in the first place?

My parents have been married for 60 years today. When I saw them last week, they were out in the yard together laughing and joking with each other. I had one of those moments where I saw the span of their lives together and the adventures they have had, in a flashing moment. They still live God, still love each other, and to this day laugh, and think outside the box.

Some people inherent wealth in the form of money. I have inherited the wealth of being raised by parents who loved each other openly, and us, every day. And I saw how they did it. The choices they made. Sometimes purely by choice and will. But they always did it. It’s a legacy I find more valuable than diamonds.

Tor & IPFS are opposites

Tor Onions are famous for "No JavaScript" since JavaScript can be used to fingerprint your browser and identify you. While most darkweb markets completely avoid JS, many other sites such as WordPress can achieve this same trick. Our team did it a year ago by moving the WooCommerce code to the SERVER side, so the client's browser does NOT have to do it.

IPFS is the opposite. There is no server, and IPFS nodes share copies of static files. The word "static" doesn't mean it doesn't have JavaScript, it means the code is pre-defined and known to the client in advance (so it’s more truly open source). With IPFS, clients are running all code locally.

In summary,

Tor Onions do it all server-side, hide where the server is, and who is connecting to it.

While as IPFS does it all client-side, turns your local PC into a node, which publicly broadcasts you are sharing it (like a torrent).

Both are difficult to do complex apps with, and that's why they both are not that popular. However, it is possible. And as long as it’s possible, there’s hope.
