Nourishing the kind of feelings we want to see grow
Academia is a lovely experience filled with people passionate about knowledge, even if quite elitistic and emotionally underdeveloped because of spending most of their years in relation with books. But there is much to learn and to expand in the process. It is the proving my worth/my knowledge in rapport with standard evaluation methods part that I could not addapt to. I have studies in two masters but did not get the dissertation diploma for neither of them. One was in Theories and Methods of Research in Communication and the other was in Art history and the Philosophy of Culture. With or without the recognition, my thinking was shaped by them and in the end I think this is all that matters.
Some get it through the other side, some fall prey to destruction, but it is the process, the opposing forces, the struggle, the pains of birthing the human consciousness that we all have in common. Still, let's keep the word glory as an honor to the ones who actually make it. For as much as there is value in the journey at all dimensions and the lessons that we bring forth, a dead end is what it is. There is trial and error on the path of progress, and of course in the heart there is no room for dichotomy, but if you care for the Truth and not just for Beauty, an error is just that, a dead end.

Why does it even matter if this wave is bigger than the other? Doing it for the feeling or for the score? It goes same as with art. It is precisely those who don't see the full picture that tend to describe fragments, cutting it into pieces. That's how we got to be surrounded by meaningless noise expressing nothing. Commentators everywhere.
I don't need to know how high this wave was and if any new record was achieved. It is just amazing that people dare to do it and show to us in the same time the magnificence of nature. Kudos to these superhumans. We are all superhumans every single time we conquer fear.
It's all for them. So they will be born knowing.
