In my view, they represent Heaven and Earth. Birds represent spiritual transcendence (see snake is still crawling entangled in magnetism), while felines embody the magnetical force by anchoring the intelligence of nature. They observe everything. All creation is magic, but while on the edge, I've always found support in these.
