Good points, might be putting oneself at risk by using it. That said some points to consider from the article:

- Signal messages are typically to small groups, so not the same type of threat as free speech on Parler that may affect the masses.

- “hardcore anti-communist Korean cult” does not sound like a bad thing. In fact if US services are trying to make a system for freedom fighters to fly under the radar then Signal seems to fit the bill.

- There are bad and good US departments - Some believing in US values of freedom and others believing in authoritarian fascism (current administration).
