The main problem for SMEs is the lack of liquidity. Currently, it takes several days for them to receive payments for their products through e-commerce platforms. If SMEs lack sufficient capital, they are forced to incur debt, often accompanied by interest rates. In many cases, the profit from selling their products doesn’t cover the interest, leading to a cycle of accumulating debt. This is one of the root causes of increasing household debt in Thailand.
It’s time for Thailand to have an e-commerce platform that provides multifaceted benefits to sellers and SMEs, helping them run stable businesses, reduce household debt, create jobs, and generate livelihoods. Moreover, the benefits of Bitcoin could also help address these issues.
