女同性恋现象是怎么回事？

虽然已经有几种理论尝试着对男同性恋现象作出解释（见第5章），却不曾有人对女性中占1％到2％的同性恋现象进行解释（Bailey et al., 1997）。

许多理论家例如Mike Bailey，Frank Muscarella和James Dabbs都曾指出，同性恋不是异常的现象。女同性恋和男同性恋现象看上去非常不同：男同性恋现象往往发生在生命的较早阶段，而女同性恋现象却灵活得多，任何阶段都有可能发生（Baumeister, 2000）。

以后的理论家们可能会注意到，目前被归为“男同性恋”和“女同性恋”的人群中其实存在着巨大的个体差异。例如，认为自己“男性化”的女同性恋者中就存在多种择偶偏好（Bailey, Kim, Hills, & Linsenmeier, 1997; Bassett, Pearcey & Dabbs, 2001）。

在女同性恋中充当男性角色（butch）的一方往往更有男子气，她们居于支配地位而且更为自信，而充当女性角色（femme）的一方往往更为敏感、开心和女性化。差异不仅仅存在于心理上，还表现在生理上。比起她们的女性化伙伴，男性化的女同性恋者的睾丸激素水平更高，腰臀比率更加男性化，对随意性关系的态度更加宽容，而且生育子女的欲望更小（Singh, Vidaurri, Zambarano, & Dabbs, 1999）。女性化的女同性恋者更加看重长期配偶的经济基础，对更有性魅力的情敌会感到嫉妒。而男性化的女同性恋者不那么看重对方的经济基础，而是对更富有的竞争对手怀有更强烈的嫉妒。

这些心理上、形态上以及激素水平上的差异都表明，“男性化”和“女性化”也许并不是一个武断的标签，它们确实反映了一些天然的个体差异。尽管最新的理论和经验研究已经开始重视对同性性取向和同性性行为的理解和解释，但这些现象的起源仍然是科学之谜。目前的进展也许只是让我们能更早意识到，根本没有一个现有理论能够独立完整地解释男女同性恋现象（gay males and lesbians），更不用说去解释同性恋取向的人群中复杂的个体差异了。

fees are high, so we move towards lightning even more than we have in the past. this movement onboards new users. these new users find it very expensive and tedious to open their own lightning channels on their own node, so they'll gravitate towards custodial wallets. this isn't good, but this will pass given enough time.
