How many people use https://standardnotes.com as their note taking application? It has some pretty great features.
You have the option to sign up anonymously without a email.
It is cross platform and syncing.
The notes are stored on their servers in the US which is not ideal but the notes are e2ee, even the meta data.
Plus an option to encrypt on the device.

Have used it for a couple of years, really like it. Never had any issues with performance and the mobile/desktop versions play well together.
Hoping for peace somehow. We keep ending up here, generations after the last, hurting each other again and again in the false name of faith or self-defense or any other narrative to justify the horror. My heart breaks at the fallout that hits so many good people just trying to get by. Building with optimism, no matter what form that takes, has never been more important. Keep working.

Non-compliance in the face of overreach is a show of patriotism, imo. The more we stop pledging allegiance to a flag or a government and start pledging allegiance to each other, the closer we’ll be to a more perfect union, wherever we are 🙌

Couple of random Saturday thoughts:
1 - My interactions with the legacy systems of banking and government that highlight the wretched, oppressive qualities of KYC are becoming more and more frequent as the tentacles grow.
2 - Knowing there is a path where it doesn’t have to be this way makes the description of Bitcoin as “hope” a lot more tangible and real.

First GM + first note. Hello, everyone.
Have never been interested in social media at all, but it feels like Nostr might be shaping something with purpose. Imperfect, for sure, and unfinished, but learning and evolving… all like me. Happy to be part of a new community.
Going anon for now but might put a face to it over time. Who knows. Regardless, it would be great to build real connections on here or IRL (if paths ever cross). I look forward to being the dumbest person in the room as often as possible. I’m suited for the job.
Origin story: Spent way too many years in the propaganda business, working for interests and people I wouldn’t associate with today. Some of you voted for them. More of you did not. Being here is one in a series of steps on the path beyond. Among various regrets is not finding that path earlier, as many of you did. Sometimes a factory reset allows the compass to point north again.
No idea what comes of this experiment, honestly. Just going with the flow. Along with empowering the global development of sound money at scale, I’m present for Hiking Nostr, Small Business Nostr, House Music Nostr, Craft Beer Nostr, etc. A normie at heart, I guess.
