Aww man, never been and it’s a major bucket list trip for me but no can do. With my frequent trips to ES, conferences and now training to climb Kilimanjaro this summer, I don’t have the time. So jealous though if you go.

Meh, I don’t think people who use Nostr are looking for celebrity at all. People like Gigi, Preston and Lyn have far more reach and followers on X.
I think the Venn diagram intersection is huge between those who scoff at Nostr now and people who ignored bitcoin as a scam or pet rock when they first heard about it.

If you can do it without taking out exorbitant loans, then yes I would. Otherwise no. Every young dentist we interviewed for an associate position with $500k+ in loans ended up working at a chain because we couldn’t pay them the same (offered no commission). All of them we have kept up with hate their jobs and one even called it “soul sucking”. If you don’t have a lot of student loans, you can get a business loan to buy a practice and make a great living without compromising your ethics.
Very much true for dentistry and vets. Private equity money is pouring in. The money is enticing, but we were shocked by the terms you need to agree to in the sale. Profit optimization and optimal health care for patients don’t mix.

I’d love to join in if you do it Bryan! As a former small business owner who saw insurance premiums for myself and our staff skyrocket while reimbursement and care declined significantly I have a lot to say. Not to mention, most of my physician friends are burned out and miserable.
I also have an interesting experience to share from 2016 when I took my son who needed open heart surgery to Moscow of all places.
