On the other hand she scorned potential allies like Wakamo and labeled them dangerous solely due to them being slightly frisky and some property destruction.
One of the biggest examples is Fox Squad. They were the premiere squad in SRT and were the ones that captured Wakamo, but now they're criminals trying to take over Schale and fighting sensei, while Wakamo is doing her best to tone down her destructive behavior and helps sensei all the time.
Rin is also a competent leader, she just needed to be less laser focused on the precarious state of Kivotos. Honestly if it wasn't for Oki ousting her I think Rin could have convinced everyone to stick around for the emergency meeting because it was information that sensei had gathered.
I was so focused on Trinity and Gehenna finally getting along that I forgot with Arona being stuck in an IPAD everyone still hates the General Student Council and won't listen to Rin.
And I mean... fair. Disbanding the SRT was a really shortsighted move, and she tunnel visioned everything so bad that she wasn't even trying to help the schools and never even replied to Abydos' plee for help.
She kind of set herself up for failure by constantly going "oh man there's no way I could live up to the president"

There can't have been that much difference between the two senseis. The biggest difference was we had the prez and they didn't.
I wonder what caused the other timeline to fail. Was Arona the catalyst to save everyone? Her management skills helped us bring all the students up to speed and quickly address their problems, but I'd hate to shift blame to Plana for things going wrong, even indirectly
