Aren’t visa gift cards the same thing?

Not quite--the virtual cards (it seems) you can create on your own as you need them, cancel them as you need them, set spending limits, etc.

I suppose you could use gift cards for a similar function, but the flexibitliy of virtual cards seems to be much more robust.

These are just new to me, and I'd love to hear from someone who's using them....

I use virtual and disposable / one time use cards from Revolut which looks to have a similar function.

I like it, cos you can subscribe to something with a one time use card, get the thing you want and then the card automatically disappears once it's been used.

Thanks - will look into Revolut as well. Seems to be a good idea, but something I just learned about (Naomi Brockwell).

Wanted to at least get some opinions prior to looking into it...

While it was profitable, it was all short-term trades. Consequently once you factored in taxes, it became very difficult to net a profit.

If a third party is capable of making you a loss when you have actually made a profit, then I believe this is the very definition of a shitcoin!

It's accounting rules--(i.e. government lies in a different form).

Companies like MicroStrategy that have BTC on their balance sheets are just HODLers in a different form--they're good for adoption.

Saying MSTR is bad is like saying HODLers are bad...

No...and the loss was due to silly accounting rules that force you to take a loss when BTC goes down, but not realize the gain when it goes back up...

Friday - time for coffee!!

Need to celebrate getting the side of the garage cleaned up yesterday. Took 880 lbs of scrap metal to the recycler (which meant loading 880 lbs and then unloading 880 lbs).

And got $20 for all that metal!! 😃 🤔 🤔

Still...glad that job is over, and we now have a nice little spot under some trees to sip iced coffer later in the day...
