Whenever I find the time, I read books and write, listen to podcasts. One of my missions is to try and combat evil by exposing it. Strangely, what have given me most hope lately is #Bitcoin. It's a light of hope for me, in a reality that is turning more and more dystopian the more I dig for the truth.
Might sound silly, to think a monetary invention could be seen as something to combat evil with, but we are many who come to the same conclusion from different roads and experiences.
I see #nostr as a companion on this road for a better future.

EGO DEATH
I believe majority of people have a problem with certain big ideas, because of their upbringing. There's something very wrong with how we are educated, raised. When people take psychedelics, many start experience something called "ego death". You can reach this with meditation too, but it's much more difficult. The understanding that its only now that is real. The past and the future, is an illusion that we identify with. This is ego, we believe we are this certain person, because these things happened to us. We victimize ourselves, start believing we cannot change because of this trauma or event. Or, we start thinking to far ahead in the future, that when this certain thing happens we will allow ourselves to be happy.
Take religion, if you actually study the Quran or the Tanakh, even the Bible. If you read it them critically, they're actually filled with really bad advice, bad morale, bad teaching, like supremacy. You are of the chosen religion and everyone else will burn in hell, that kind of thing. We should have gotten rid off this as a species long time ago and just kept with spirituality, a sense of connectedness with all living. Like, keeping the good things with theism. But over time, we identify more and more with our ego. Let fear slip in. Let hate slip in...
Take money. Most people don't understand that either. It's another lie, that we have been identified with.
