I had the honor to interview María Corina Machado, the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, about how fiat money was weaponized against the Venezuelan people by the Chávez and Maduro regimes

She says Bitcoin is a "lifeline" and "vital means of resistance" and said that a future democratic Venezuelan government will use Bitcoin to rebuild the national reserves that the Chávistas stole and put Venezuela back on a path to peace and prosperity

I've put out a lot of content in the past few years but I think this is the most important thing I've done -- the implications are vast considering a) Venezuela is one of the world's largest energy exporters with some of the world's largest oil reserves and b) María Corina Machado is not some rogue leader or dictator but a US ally

It’s weird, until some days ago it was like that but now the first 3 notes I see are from accounts I don’t follow. I added 4-5 relays some days ago, can it have to do with that? #nostrnoob 😅

You must be in the global tab. Follow more people and stick to your feed.

I know many people want me to be “the progressive bitcoiner” guy to reach the left. I keep trying to stick it out, but I have to move on at the end of this year. I’m exhausted.

A huge segment of the left see “Bitcoin” and just aren’t here yet to get it.

I hope with rebooting money they’ll still be able to learn, and that it can even be a bigger thing and platform. I just can’t be “that guy” any more when I don’t believe and am quite repulsed by our current failed political, two party system in the U.S. Bitcoin is a paradigm shift, there’s no pretending it’s not.

Doesn’t mean rebooting money won’t be a place for mainstream, normal audiences! But I hope it can appeal to a wide audience, and not pretend to be steeped in current politics that are so petty and small and a huge distraction compared to what I hope for the future to be.

Sounds great. Follow your heart and instinct! Bitcoin can be a trigger word for many on the left, and if they don’t want to get it, that’s up to them.
