She’s right that it’s not a holiday. It’s not, at least not like Christmas, New Years, etc. but to say it’s made for “weak people” who believe women are inferior is venturing into “I’m spouting bullshit” territory.
Sounds like your own inferiority complex talking. Nobody *needs* a special day. You’re probably also one of those people who don’t celebrate Mother’s Day because they don’t want to “put mothers on a pedestal.”

Life is tough. I pride myself on being resilient and standing up on my feet after being knocked down again and again, but sometimes I just want someone to hold me and say “I’m here, everything will be okay, I’ll take care of it for you.”
