All of Bitcoin's data ready to be explored

Very pumped to finally release the version 0.4.0 of Satonomics.. or should I say kibō !

On the menu we have:

- a new brand (kibō, hope in japanese, which is what ultimately bitcoin is)

- a new website which was made from the ground up with pure html/css/js

- Easier self-hosting than ever, now that node has been removed, with only rust as the project's dependency

- And many more

It was a lot of work but necessary to keep this project as future proof as possible.

You can check it out at:

https://kibo.money

And we're back to being live 🤙

The max I saw was 12go but it could’ve been more so let’s assume 16go

You should wait for the next big update, it’ll remove node as a dependency, update some databases to use even less space and update the readme to explain how everything works which should make things easier for you

Don’t hesitate to ping me if needed 🤙

Have to shut down my laptop for 24h, the website and the backup (https://api-bkp.satonomics.xyz) will still be operational but the data won’t be updated

Great to nostr:npub1qh5sal68c8swet6ut0w5evjmj6vnw29x3k967h7atn45unzjyeyq6ceh9r back on Nostr

to see*

Just realized that the backup wasn’t syncing with the main instance of Satonomics which is why you may have seen outdated charts even though everything was fine and fresh locally in my laptop/server

Sorry about that, everything is operational now but syncing will take some time

Hey nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 are you still building bitcoinanalytics.io ? I saw your project on geyser.fund and wanted to check it out but could open it

Rocksdb is slower than both sanakirja and lmdb from what I read and it would make sense because of how different they are but I guess I could benchmark it

By embedded I mean a database that can be used with code only without having another process running

I’m like 95% sure that redis is slower than lmdb which uses things like memory mapped files but I’ll check again thanks !
