Does that work for you because the people you would need to prove your identity to know you because of your node, and value control over it as the highest form of proof?

I suppose then, to contradict my initial note, that access to a domain (and normal use of it) might be the best proof of a writers identity to his regular readers. Even better than access to his Nostr keys.

Here's a question: we see a note from your npub tomorrow saying your node has been hijacked/stolen, and a post on Twitter that proves it has access to your node saying your nsec was compromised - who do we believe?

That’s an entirely different question and I don’t think there is an easy solution.

There is probably 1 person involved in Lightning who knows my face, so I suppose if I had any of my main accounts compromised, I would video call them and ask them to relay a message.

We're using domain names to verify our keys, but a little thought makes me think that it makes more sense to verify domains with our private keys. Which one can we actually take self custody of? Hmm.

Part of growing up is realizing maintaining a routing LN node is a PITA, unprofitable and definitely not worth the headache.

Partially agree! Maintaining a routing node definitely takes work but it’s enjoyable and can be profitable.

I have a private node on the side, so best of both worlds.

I made it take input from the CLI instead of a config file and hardcoded myself as the last hop. Syntax is ./triangle.sh

I’m A, and the channel where I want to refill my local balance is with peer C. So I look for a peer we both have in common; peer B. If B is a source for me, that’s great, two birds with one stone. Then I just need to make sure that my my potential earnings on A-C will be high enough to make the rebalance economically viable.

I wrote some bash and jq to parse the graph and find all of the B’s for me, and output them in a list including their fees to the target C (sorry it’s too sloppy to share). I pick one and then

I use a modified version of #[0] ‘s igniter script[1] to make the payment.
