That quote got me into habit trackers, thinking they'd be key. But every time I use them, they feel helpful...until they don't. Lately, I've found that short-term tracking where you reset and delete all data after each day (at most, each week) works best for me
Understanding why I want to make a change is infinitely more powerful and seeing the data seems to interrupt that for me. Funny how so many influencers go on about them but the less tracking I do, the more consistent the habit becomes. Less is more, I guess

Football is crying out for Bitcoin! Once clubs start adopting it, they'll have the financial breathing room to really focus on creating an identity which makes them unique.
I wouldn't be surprised if the rise of Bitcoin in football coincides with the fall of positional play, which prioritises predictability, and a resurgence of individual flair, where entertainment is the focus.
I hear a lot about "the beautiful game being lost" but I'm optimistic that we'll soon enter a new renaissance.

When talking about the flaws of a central authority, the most common pushback I get is "Modern governments have led us to a point where resources are more abundant than ever before...they must be doing something right!" My response is always the same: It's not state planning that brought us here; it's the resiliance of people. We were always going to reach this level of abundance because people inherently look for ways to improve their lives and the best way to do so is to solve problems. Creating more effective production methods is just part of the process.
If anything, a central authority simply slows that process down. It's like mankind is trying to climb a mountain and all the state does is push you down. People always get up but there is a point when you question if you should. Socialism reveals the limits of a central authority, pushing you down to the point where most people can't get back up but western societies still operate by the same playbook. Yes, they may be pushing you down less but they are nonetheless pushing you down.
It's always been the resiliance of individual people that has led to a better world and that'll continue to be the case forever.
Nostr's killer app will be a marketplace!
There's been a lot of discussion on what will drive mass adoption of Nostr and whilst enabling true free speech is its USP, it is simply a tool to create apps and not the app itself (much like AI).
I don't code but I see two apps that could drive mainstream adoption:
1) A betting marketplace, like Polymarket, where anyone can bet on anything, anytime; and
2) A true free market marketplace, quite like Ross's vision with Silk Road.
If these are built open-source, they could be the next step in bringing about real freedom under true Libertarian philosophies. If one client goes down another would simply take its place using the same data. The clients and the information would be hard to stifle!
Nostr has already come so far but this is just the beginning.
