BRAZIL IS A DICTATORSHIP
Last week the Brazilian government hosted a meeting for the South American leaders. That's no big deal it's expected of the biggest economy in the region to do so.
The problem was the treatment given to Nicolas Maduro, dictator of Venezuela. He arrived a couple of days before the meeting and received a full honor reception.
That's not all! The Brazilian president, Lula, defended the Maduro regime, stating that it is a democracy and that the world is being unfair towards them. That statement is even worse than it sounds, for we live the reality of the refugees that come to Brazil fleeing Maduro’s regime.

During de campaign, the electoral court banned any publicity of the relationship between Lula and Maduro!
Now, we get this!

UNJUST JUSTICE
Last week the Supreme Court, condemned a former president of Brazil to 33 years in prison.
The investigation process, pieces of evidence, and testimonies that were used in the case were the same used in the case of the current president, which was also condemned in three different cases of corruption.
You might ask, why the current president is in charge of the country? That is a curious fact, for the current president, the case was considered invalid for some technical reason, but for the other accused it wasn’t.

CENSORSHIP HAS ARRIVED
#grownostr #nocensorship #helpbrazil
A couple of days ago, the Brazilian Minister of Justice, said that: “the time of free speech in Brazil is over!”
YES! He literally said that!
CENSORSHIP ON THE WAY – PART 2
Today we are busy! A famous Brazilian comedian was censored by the Justice Court of the State of São Paulo.
His videos were taken down, he is going to be fined if continues to tell or even keep personal records of the jokes.
What were the jokes? Politically incorrect joke, as every good joke should be!

CENSORSHIP ON THE WAY
Today we had a great blow! An unlawful decision by the Supreme Court decided to annul the mandate of a member of parliament that was fighting against the censorship law. In addition to that, four other members of parliament are on the same path. All five are against the law in question.
Beyond that, the congressmen that had his mandate annulated was, prior to the election, the prosecutor that put in jail for corruption the current president of Brazil.
We are, in fact, living in a dictatorship, just like Nicaragua! Where the opposition gets arrested, exiled, or worse.
Please, spread the word to all your contacts! Let our voices be heard!
Bitcoin Blockade! Let's fight it the right way!
In Brazil, as in every corner of the world, criminals search for every way they can to take people’s money! A very popular bait used by Brazilian criminals is crypto, especially Bitcoin. Every day we are bombarded with news of a new scam worse than the previous. That creates in the population the sense of danger whenever they hear the word Bitcoin.
That is the main excuse governments use to try to regulate Bitcoin and the crypto world, as I mentioned in my last post. Worse than that, because the bad things that happens, they try to pass laws that gives them the power to censor whatever makes harder for them to control the population.
The best way to deal with misinformation is contrasting it with the right one! Censorship is never the answer!
Education on how bitcoin works, how to keep the keys safe, is essential in the fight against misinformation and government rule! Nostr is a important tool in this figt!
Last year, a law that regulates crypto currencies was approved by Congress and sanction by the president.
As every good law, it's vague, so it can be applied in every circumstance whenever convenient. The excuse for the law, is to protect people form scamers, that use the Bitcoin name to fool people and take their money (that is very common in Brazil, not only using the bitcoin name).
For some time, all exchanges with office in Brazil have to comply KYC standards. The end goal is to monitor transactions for tax collection. That what they really want!
One way to deal with that is using international exchanges, but than we need to use dollars and, in the end, fall for the same trap.
The other way is to use decentralized exchanges, but they are not user friendly for the average person.
A good thing though, our politicians don't truly understand bitcoin or any crypto, we might be able to navigate those waters.
That's why the development of decentralized platforms is so important. As they evolve, they get more reliable and known to the people. That's the way to achieve our freedom.
Soon, this kind of law will come to Brazil.
Supreme Court judge imposes R$100.000,00 (equivalent to U$20.000,00) per hour, if anyone uses VPN to access services blocked by the Court, including Telegram!!!
Only authoritarian countries have this kind of rules!
Some say we are living in a democracy!!!

Last week, Telegram was threatened of being shut down by the Supreme Court, for sending a message alerting people of the impacts of a new legislation that aim to give the government power to block accounts and even arrest people over their opinions.
The next day, Telegram sent an apologetic message:
"We received an order from the Supreme Court of Brazil that binds Telegram to remove our previous message about PL 2630/2020 and to send a new message to users, which is included below.
Hello!!
I don't know if it's known to the internacional community that Brazil is, in effect, under a dictatorial regime. In paper, we are still a democracy.
The Supreme Court has taken the power into their own hands, not only interpreting the construction, as is their row in a democratic state, but also creating laws, accusing, investigating and judging.
Journalists, people speaking their minds on the internet and even representatives of Parliament have been persecuted and even arrested.
I plan to bring awareness, to the English speaking community by bringing news other than the ones brought by international media. They tend to be biased towards dictators. When possible, I'll bring links to ground the information.
