Our local animal shelter is 100% to the welfare of the animals. I actually want them to pay the people that run it more because of all they do. Literally work harder than anyone I know (intake, medical, placements, training, fosters, transport, cleaning, feeding, bathing, etc etc). Volunteers are key but the people that run the show daily give up their lives for it.
