In the 90s Chinese people communicated by writing letters. No phones no computers. Many shops use abacus to register cash. This abacus will be used as long as the Chinese graduate from primary school. Primary school mathematics courses have special teaching using abacus statistics.

I couldn't not use a phone due to calls but the Light Phone seems like an interesting modern take on a dumb phone. Calls and messages with a E-ink screen. It can also play audio files and set alarms but that's abou it.
Man it's hard to phantom being in that position.
trust humanity - but understand there are mechanisms which are designed to break the psychology of humans so it's necessary to move with purpose and remain consistant. not everyone has the same access to information and many are held back from the awareness they should question. utopianism and centrism are tools which convince people through convenience mechanisms they do not need to be respectful of alternative perspectives. those perspectives are then used as springboards to divide further whether or not they are rooted in anything valuable make zero difference to artificial intelligence learning.
