Trying to learn AI and LLMs, but man, they're speeding ahead like there's no tomorrow. Inside, I'm like ‘Hey, AI, how about taking a quick break? Let me catch up!’ 😅

Whether you have scientific or historical evidence to prove the truth doesn’t matter if people don’t have an economical incentive to evaluating and spreading that truth.

I am already a master in this field, so no need for a university degree. 😁 Thanks to @OpenAI and @cognition_labs, my skills can now be put to use. https://video.nostr.build/2ccf5e598dc7a4360dfa7d42a1dd62e6e612277db0dd9a81dc9a2249fbf065f8.mp4

In AI , Learning algorithms are the seeds, data is the soil and the learned programs are the grown plants. AI expert is like farmer, sowing the seeds, irrigating and fertilising the soil and keeping an eye on the health of the crops but otherwise STAYING OUT OF THE WAY ..

Machine learning isn't a new kid on the block. Google's been making our searches smarter for ages. Then you've got the likes of IBM and Microsoft who've been quietly revolutionizing healthcare and education, all without causing a big fuss. It's been all about making life better, one smart algorithm at a time.

But now, it feels like we're on a roller coaster with no brakes. Companies like OpenAI and Cognition are pushing the pedal to the metal, and suddenly, it's not just about smarter searches or diagnosing diseases quicker. Jobs are vanishing faster than ice cream on a hot day, and it's got me wondering: what's the rush?

Isn't the point of all this tech wizardry to make life better, not to throw us into a tailspin of uncertainty? It's like we're all in this mad dash towards "accelerationism" without stopping to think if we should. Sure, AI's got the potential to change the game, but at what cost?

We need to pump the brakes and think this through. Technology should be lifting us up, not leaving folks behind. Let's get back to that sweet spot where innovation means everyone wins, not just the folks with the fastest computers. It's about making sure AI serves us all, not just a selected few.

So, here's to hoping we can find a way to keep the tech train rolling without running over the future. It's not about being anti-progress; it's about making sure progress works for everyone.

You don’t really understand something until you express it as an algorithm. Like Richard Feynman said - “What I can not create, I do not understand”

People thinks computers are all about numbers but they are not. They are all about logic.

True expertise looks like magic , in its core expertise is recognition . And recognition comes from incredible amount of highly structured information stored in long term memory . To build that memory requires 4 things :

Concept of "democracy" seems increasingly manipulated. Politicians across the globe finding ways to sway he elections, often diverging from the true interest of the nation. From altering demographics for vote shares to promising unsustainable freebies, the essence of governance is being compromised. Yet, we hold onto 'democracy' like a sacred thing, afraid to question or reform it, even as evidence of its exploitation mounts. It's time to recognise that, like a computer system facing threats, our democratic processes need robust updates to combat manipulation. This isn't about discarding democracy, but evolving it to truly reflect and serve the people's will. Nations like China and Russia present alternative models of prosperity, challenging us to rethink and adapt. The question isn't about the system's name, but its ability to ensure justice, equality, and progress for all.

That's why I think network states is the future ... You can program the country basically !

The big shots with too much power aren't from the army or anything; they're the tech gods among us. Like, we're all cheering for the likes of OpenAI, Elon and throwing side-eyes at Google, but who's to say which one's gonna flip the world upside down? Google could've been the first to drop something like GPT, but either they kept it zipped up or just didn’t bother, maybe 'cause they knew it could get messy. And now, everyone's in a mad dash, not exactly thinking things through. Gotta say, even Sam isn’t right one to handle this sort of firepower.

Report indicates that a Microsoft data center complex in Arizona is expected to use about 56 million gallons of drinking water each year, which is equivalent to the water usage of approximately 670 families.

This is occurring in a region that has experienced its hottest summer on record and is facing severe drought conditions, with the Colorado River's water levels dwindling

Crazy time ahead

OpenAI isn’t Open as per the english translation of the word. To use their AI only thing that Opens is your wallets🤣

Do you really think Google Gemini is the problem and not the OpenAI ? 😂 While Google plays responsibly, OpenAI (Sam) is stirring things up like the RAVANA in this Ramayan 😂 Just wait and watch !

GPUs soar, treasures of the digital age.

This is third time in a week that same video sent by family members in group or via DM 😭

Andrej karpathy : most great organizations require leaders with a disproportionate amount of power. when this is absent you end up with countless hierarchies of ineffective committees https://video.nostr.build/a7301e483712a255b219926021711ca53fe17b72bdb8b02dba1eb2eef586b1f3.mp4

I was wondered how bitcoin nodes locate each other ? Bitcoin DNS seed servers are the secret sauce. But here's the catch: they're hardcoded - centralized, a potential single point of failure for the whole protocol. Isn’t it ?

Programming is essentially about solving problems, but now programming itself might become the biggest problem we solve! 😂 https://magic.dev
