These fellas are working a drill from the “compressed ready” position. It’s really an application of presentation and sight picture needed to win the gun fight. There are easier more efficient ways to run this application drill (like on the line), but I prefer to do it this way to insure all of the students that trust me with their training needs get individual attention. Visual acuity is an important skill to hone both while static and on the move. As it relates to gunfights, the more information we can process, through visual acuity, the better. The problem is several factors are working against us to intake information and make correct tactical, moral, and legal decisions that will allow us to survive.
