Bitcoin is unbreakable, but new Bitcoiners, including many of you, who support the GENIUS Act's government control are misguided. I've backed Bitcoin since 2013, and it was meant to free us from fiat enslavement, not chain us to digital asset control. #Bitcoin #NoGENIUSAct
Trump has been both fantastic and a monumental disaster for Bitcoin simultaneously. The future of Bitcoin as P2P money is more threatened today than ever, despite its rising value.
The GENIUS Act ties stablecoins to banks and KYC, stifling DeFi and threatening Bitcoin’s freedom. Been in BTC since ’13—we need trustless systems, not gov-controlled coins. Who’s pushing this? Shills and grifters. #NoGENIUSAct
I think Arch Network is a promising project, and I care about bringing 'Bitcoin DeFi' to Bitcoin as BTCfi, but the Solana-Ethereum shitcoiner vibe here and across all the Bitcoin Layer 2's is so cringe.

I'm building a free resource to track the BTCfi ecosystem, Bitcoin Layer 2 projects, Bitcoin DeFi, stakeholders, and holding companies, reflecting my 12+ years as a Bitcoiner. It will be opinionated.
I'm auditing projects to allocate resources and development time based on their nativeness and value to Bitcoin, including their impact on the Bitcoin Security Budget. It's a work in progress and will iterate frequently. I plan to open-source it and the data when satisfied.

Many companies with zero conviction are suddenly adding Bitcoin to their holdings—likely future paper hands. It takes grit to hold Bitcoin during big dips, and I doubt these copycats will; they'll panic and sell. Only true Bitcoiners survive. Will they?
I'm building a dapp on every Bitcoin Layer 2, hoping Bitcoin DeFi evolves into BTCfi. But perhaps the Bitcoin ossification maxis are right.
Bitcoin Layer 2 might just be Ethereum DeFi chads grifting gullible Bitcoiners to steal their sats. Sad if true.
All these Bitcoin Layer 2s are in full data-harvesting mode—pathetic. VCs have heavily infiltrated them. The more I evaluate and code on them, the less impressive and more scammy they seem. I should’ve stayed in my 2013 OG slumber longer. #BTCfi
The current batch of Bitcoin Layer 2s appears to be walled gardens, giving insiders an advantage to exploit naive Bitcoiners who may later believe these are organic communities. #BTCfi The Discord communities reflect this vibe.
No one should be surprised by the Coinbase insider hack. KYC for BTC is absurd; it's a public ledger. I've been locked out of my Coinbase account for awhile, I opened it in 2014 no/KYC to receive Coinbase BTC payouts. Later they demanded KYC, I refused. Haven't used it since.🍿
For the past 12 years as a very early Bitcoin advocate and coder, there was little to do. Things are changing. Bitcoin Layer 2, or better yet Bitcoin-anchored smart contract platform, is the path to BTCfi. It's getting exciting again.
I'll occasionally share pre-2015 Bitcoin OG photos from Asia, AI-processed to protect the originals, which I've kept private. If you're in them, DM me for unprocessed originals.

For now, I will be reposting some of my X posts while I get a handle on using Nostr. You can also follow me on X at https://x.com/nipiQ

For the past 12 years as an very early Bitcoin advocate and coder, there was little to do. The best action was to stack it, forget it, and occasionally sell to the plebs at massive markup. Things are changing, Bitcoin Layer 2 is the path to BTCfi, its getting exciting again.
In a few years, today's Bitcoin maxi influencers who convinced you to join their cult and reject Bitcoin Layer 2 won't be crying—you will, for missing the boat. They're quietly backing #BTCfi projects while claiming to be appalled. We've seen this before. ⬇️

Removed Bitcoin Knots from my Bitcoin Lima VM developer templates on GitHub, as testnet and testnet4 are Bitcoin Core-derived, making its inclusion unnecessary.
Updated my Bitcoin Development Toolkit for macOS with Lima VMs. Run Bitcoin Core full nodes (Mainnet, Testnet3, Testnet4), useful when developing Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions, and building BTCFi.
One cool feature of ChatGPT is sharing pictures pseudonymously. Here's me in the mid-1990s beside the first mainframe I coded for, an IBM S/390, doing predictive modeling. I later coded on supercomputers before discovering Bitcoin in 2013.
