No, smartypants realised back in those days. Me snarky-pants. Much slower species unfortunately
Started Jan 3rd 2009. Youre welcome
Depends on incentive. My dog needs a harness because using collar and leash I can control where the dog is and looks until it sees either a motorbike or a juicy tasty human ankle, at which point, all bets are off and Tasmanian devil turns into raging canine Houdini escape artist. When on a harness, he just becomes a whirling comedy circus act which results in far less bloodshed. He’s had same training as second dog who calmly sits with his collar on with an aloof look on his face watching the mayhem. I often wonder why people stop to try and talk to me whilst raging teeth gnashing lunatic is obviously conveying the message that he considers them to be a chewy snack but then humans are odd
His kids are spending lots of time in outside shower area (tiny 2cm long tree frogs) but haven’t managed a good photo. Very jumpy jumpy!
Hmm frog. Yes. One nearly landed on my head the other day. Assuming a poorly execute jump!
With Odell on that and considering I have my new Q, recommend Schiff Gold option! It’s just a nice little reminder
It’s weird how people so reticent like that. I have an aquaintace I explained to. I know he’s stacking with frenzy on local P2P but has totally ghosted me for months. Really odd
GM nostr! ☕️🌞
Always lots of comments about custody and onboarding. My 2 sats:
Be aware of who you are talking to. Listen to them to gauge what they are ready for and explain the different options. I have recently orange pilled numerous people.
1: “I want to sell my products locally for bitcoin but don’t understand it and need to learn” - 4 people now using custodial wallet and accepting payments on lightning. “This will allow you to stack, watch podcasts (recommended according to language) and when you have enough in there you feel you need to take custody, let’s talk further”.
2: “I have savings and have been learning from the local bitcoin group and want to save in bitcoin and take custody.” - totally different scenario with important level of wealth. After much longer discussions, 1 paid for Bitcoin course and ended up with start9 server and trezors and just got 2 total newbies rolling dice and playing with cold cards!
Everyone has a different level of learning desire, help them achieve the appropriate path! Onward!
PV
Actually just got 2 newbies on Cold cards directly. Described different wallets and both just said want air gap and best security, happy to take the time to learn. Was quite shocked but a little explanation just worked.
Oh is there an actual fight on or you just down the pub with a live band on?
Hmm how did I write stake instead of work? Love nostr record of stupidity
Maybe it’s to get the fighters more angry before getting in the ring? 🤷
Yes and that’s an excellent example of implementation. Was curious how scalable to an actual nation state applying cost to implementations of security strategy. I suppose it’s obvious really and should’ve thought through a little more before posting maybe! PV
Well yes. Proof of stake by Adam Back was about getting rid of spam etc but just kinda pondering cost and ease of implementation. CR is small so let’s say 5m people need to be able to access. Distribute 100 sats to every person. That’s only 5btc. Obviously legitimate people might need more access but the government could organise drops according to requirement through a verified nostr nsec and then doesn’t necessarily need to buy too much corn. Wonder if that would be a lot cheaper than the ramifications of all these attacks. Sure it would. Just pondering
Thanks. Then as someone living in Costa Rica which seems to be under constant DDOS atacas on governments shit IT infrastructure, from a governments perspective, there is an added incentive to bitcoin use the population at large and apply cost to web services
Is it possible to design a webpage that requires a sat as payment every time visited?
