What will you do then, that is your competence. Nobody can certify your competence. Your bosses may praise you, when things are going well, but when things are bad, they will disappear.

You may notice all the retired state sector employees in India, they are nothing after their retirement, because they were nothing.

How you remove or reduce others power/dominance/influence over over you.

- Don't take favor from them, but trade with them.

- Don't depend directly on them for your needs.

- Negotiate, bargain and Trade. You should be able to decide the price. Create contacts with mutual agreement that doesn't require force.

- No favor, no politics.

- Nobody gives you power. Only you can make your position stronger.

- As they say, power has it's natural tendency to centralise, and there is no power vacuum. The more power among the individuals, the less power with the centralised powers.

- A more stable society and world require more number of strong individuals.

I never need a penny from anyone to be specific, that's why I just chill more.😄☕🎈👍.
