Yes, I did figure out how to easily link to my profile, which is awesome. Feels much more like linking to my twitter profile (for example). And if I understand it correctly a person can navigate there and view it without setting a nostr key pair.

I’m finding the same thing. Searching the nip05 name is hit or miss. In iris I had better luck than Snort and damus. But the pubkey works the best.
Yeah, that makes sense. It makes me wish I was a developer instead of just rooting from the sidelines.
Also, #[3] envisions niche communities building on Nostr eventually. Whereas right now your cycling club might be stuck using Facebook groups (for example), in the future it might be easy to build a better community space on Nostr.

Maybe. But even then, they'll probably to talk about other things besides bitcoin. Breaking the network effects of current sm platforms will require lot's of different communities to come to nostr. #[2]

I believe that just bring up your system default bitcoin lightning wallet. You only need to worry about that if you want to send or receive “zaps”, which are bitcoin micropayments.
