Don’t they use Bitpay which now requires KYC?
Priorities are a powerful thing. Living in Polska for 3 years I can barely order a hotdog from Zabka but I also can pretty much understand the japanese panel speakers from NostrAsia raw, without subs.
Fact 1 /g/ is full of retards.
Fact 2 /g/ is full of retards who still believe fringe mastodon island instances is a viable solution.
Some kinda-ok-generals but most of /g/ is inane comments from LARPing american teenagers. Fun fact: /h/ is ahead of the game in stuff like SD as opposed to /g/. Thats where I learned to train and use LoRA and Lycoris.
IMO, yo should consider the investment would be the cost of at least an ECC compatible setup using unregistered ECC:
- ECC compliant CPU.
- ECCP compliant Motherboard, some do. Some don’t.
- The ECC memory
- Reduntant storage
- The energy cost of running a full PC as opposed to an ARM SBC. Sadly those extra W/h are relevant if you live in shitholes like the EU.
So if you are serious about running a lightning node by either putting more money than the aforementioned setup or going for the routing node runner game you should invest in ECC and prosumer grade hardware.
HP Microservers are a good starting point. AFAIK even the unwanted versions support ECC. Any non APU Ryzen even first gen support ECC unregistered but motherboards are another story.
Just playing with LN with hundred bucks channel? Nah… stick with your current Raspberry Pi or old PC. nostr:note16j6f2qcake9vj47paj5wp4p5ujn2nx7ley5kahqh5dxmzaj50ags0xgw3k

I agree that ECC is a nice thing but aren’t you exaggerating a bit? How many documented cases of this happening with DDR4 or older are there?

Worse than Lunik IX?
I miss the days of Adium/Kopete where you could log in to every messaging server through a single client. Stupid telemetry bullshit created incentives for every app to have its proprietary client.
Has anyone ever tried setting a personal matrix server with bridges to all other crappy messaging systems and just use element to interact?
Where is The Other Stuff?
Proper hardware meaning any Von Neumann compliant machine.
It was not a channel within the wallet. The channel I had from my LND to Voltage 2.0 was force closed.
- Running on an 80s mainframe.
- It’s not on the internet or even actually networked. Relay is a Unix socket.
- Clients are serial terminals connected to mainframe.
- Database is just a file with NDB hashes

Ledger has micro apps for FIDO U2F and GPG. I didn’t managed to get it properly working though.

I wonder if there is something useful to repurpose that device. I’ve tried it to use it for authentication like Yubikey but it didn’t worked. The authorization prompt would blink too fast. Wonder if they’ve fixed it.
Japanese style breakfast is good. When I had it I only got hungry late afternoon.
It’s more lightweight than it seems.
