Not even that complicated. He told me mostly are smuggled out of military bases or through southern border.
I was told by a Chinese police detective today, that China has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more gun crime than most people imagined. They’re just unreported.
😯
Happy birthday baby 🧡
Former vice-premier of China. He’s 68, and had a sudden death from heart attack, apparently during a swim. Chinese government is handling the news of his death in a pretty bad way, trying to brush over it, and people are not having it.
Three days and it’s still going strong.
This is his ancestral home in Anhui. https://video.nostr.build/93bc9a027a5f2d434c71fb7ec16707e322898d900ccf7f0b49ab6c049c0f3e86.mp4 nostr:note12xyg79w9k023agttjfx6c6tgxkyyxtvny7lzm8xpmeu5sz39d96s0gqzk7
Not really a protest, but people definitely are making a point by mourning his death.
Would become dicey if they try to put a stop to all that.
Yes but more like half year later I think. Had a heart attack while he was on a swim. Funny thing is, even if Xi didn’t do it, people automatically assume it was him. That really puts in perspective how disliked he is among the people.
And I hate to say it but social score doesn’t work the way most people think it does. It has become a meme. There isn’t really a score, and it’s mostly about putting people on a list when they don’t pay their debt or what so ever, these people faces many restrictions on traveling. And I say mostly because there are certainly people who said or did something that land them on the list. They won’t build a complicated system and act according to the rules, because they absolutely won’t abide by the rules.
By the way, there’s a song that people are going back to, it’s called “sadly it wasn’t you”. They didn’t ban the song but restricted the repost of that song. I wonder who is that “you” 😂
Absolutely. And I’m surprised he didn’t die before Li. I think he was with Hu, and Hu brought him up. And I bet when Hu dies, people would have similar reactions. Xi won’t like it.
Comparison makes all the difference. I wouldn’t call him a totalitarian psychopath, a coward maybe. People liked him because he was at least real about things and had a good attitude. He would bring up real data about people’s salary right after Xi says there’s no poverty in China. He was quite publicly against all the lockdowns and restrictions during covid even though it didn’t change anything. I wouldn’t call any CCP leader at that level a great leader or what so ever. He had his share of things I didn’t like or agree with, but in comparison a much more decent and honest person.
People lining up just to put bouquets there. https://video.nostr.build/5efd368c1b7a501afa2e4c893cdc785aa23da61af3fe3f5c3b43185224c10b8a.mp4 nostr:note12xyg79w9k023agttjfx6c6tgxkyyxtvny7lzm8xpmeu5sz39d96s0gqzk7
How it started vs How it’s going
People mourning Li’s death.
Two of the most used quotes on the cards with the flowers:
Whatever one’s doing, God is watching. (人在做天在看)
The river cannot flow backwards. (长江黄河不能倒流)
It’s not only about mourning Li, people are fed up with Xi, and they’re making a point.
Things are getting a little tense now. https://video.nostr.build/c7d43e734e0696fc6100fe0177d7432763bcc72ee9ae7e54bb2c55c624228c05.mp4
Had a dream of me and my friends beating the shit out of an annoying autistic guy who kept throwing pingpong ball at me in a casino. We robbed him, gave some of his money to his friend and made him beat the guy as well, and I made him kiss my boots.
Yeah that wasn’t nice. 😬
