The way Iâm reading the speculation, youâll be able to have as big a balance as you like, they are just proposing taxing earnings on balances over that amount at your full marginal rate.
So if you have a bunch of shares in your #smsf that pay a dividend youâll be liable for ~50% tax on those dividends.
#bitcoin pays no dividend so no tax will be due. If you sell then obviously cap gains is due and they may force withdrawal of balances over $3m at retirement but show me a bitcoiner with $xm in self custody #bitcoin that doesnât enjoy an afternoon on a boat.
