If Haley were VP, she would spend 4 years undermining Trump and running for president, which is why the establishment wants her. She didn’t just run against Trump, she sought to destroy him. And there’s numerous other reasons. Trump needs someone he can rely on and trust. And that includes someone who may not share every opinion with him. IMHO, there are several great potential running mates including Stefanik, Cotton, and Scott. Others too. In any event, the electoral outcome won’t be decided by Trump’s running mate. No presidential race has been. Haley and her supporters are trying to position her for 2028.
