Imagine you have wallets with different amounts of cash in them.

If you spend more than what's in one of those wallets, you have to go get another one.. That takes time and energy.

Money is a representation of your time and energy so in a way, whatever you're buying now costs more-time, energy, and money.

Utxos are like wallets. They're just all kept in the same place. It's a specific amount of money or value in one place at a time.

What we call Bitcoin wallets are more like files that have all those wallets in one place.

Spend more than what's in one, it costs more to spend from another.

Just cuz your cheer died doesn't mean we have to be sad too gi

Then I'll pull out my handy dandy gigapower mccyclontron, fire it at the moon and turn it into a giant solar panel and give the energy away to all the nodes.

Yer wilcum :)

Literally drive down Rosa Parks Blvd to get to work in Nashville every day. Still not a fan of prejudice, socialism or genocide. Take another crack at it tho.

I mean. Bitcoin made cryptographic money possible first. It tracks to me that it would also make financially incentivized social media possible first. Seems more like a lack of say, xrp bros, who employ enough ambition to create such a space. But they could always copy the Bitcoin playbook and copy it's programs again 😆

The rest definitely happens or will. I don't pay for a thing tho and I get zero spam over here. I just block everything that doesn't seem legit. Haven't seen reply guy in ages for instance.

Nobody said it was radical. We're saying it's fact. Most things aren't absolute.

See that?

Most. You can't be general without being wrong.

I would disagree, I'm sure there is a way to modify a feed (knowing not shit about programming, I assume it's possible) to prioritize high zap content but my feed is purely chronological.

If you mean higher engagement acts as a feedback to spur more engagement, that sounds more like human interaction more than a mechanism of the software. Kinda like cities have more work, causing more people to move there, causing more to be built, causing more work.

It looks very organic to me, despite the fact that I could definitely be wrong. Nostr could be a KGB psyop for all I know.

Well when you say it as an absolute, yeah.

Duh.

Which is exactly the part of the conversation where someone would say "that's not always true".

Again.

The whole point is you're speaking concretely about nuanced issues. You can't say something as absolute fact if it's not absolute, and expect no one to clarify that there are indeed exceptions to every rule or observation.

I can appreciate that. It's a small community. There smaller the space, the more likely the participants align ideologically. Meanwhile x is algorithmic so fear porn, fud, tragedy, all follow the same formulas of mainstream media-the worse it is the more people tune in, the more money the horse spits out.

Which is why I say, part of what you're perceiving might just be a second order effect of not having an algorithm.
