Gm nostriches, clear skies outside, hoping for some adventures with a fam once #catstr gets her rest and #coffeechain no.2 is completed. Watching a doomer economics show this morning, amazing stat for the UK, the median wages is only 40% higher than the new national minimum wage. Also, hospitality costs have sky rocketed and they’re losing jobs quickly, fortunately new government jobs and making up the difference.
They (labour but also the previous Tory government) are pushing us towards a single rate of pay. No matter how hard you work, you’ll likely earn the same or a token amount above the minimum, but then get the differences taxed, this is Communism.
Luckily the light of nostr:npub1pzzrdngrnlufqazx3lfj07k0vfuya6ehfy8q5yv2h8c5e8fxgmxqhxdsr8 joining nostr makes anything going on in the UK no really mean anything. Welcome.
