I would buy a few long bits for things I use a lot, and just have a long adapter and a bunch of short bits for occasional stuff. short bit assortments are easy and cheap to find

the site is pretty literal in interpreting queries so if you need to find something, it's easier to browse your way there from a general query like "bits" than try to guess what they call it
