Hello, World of Nostr.
My name is Colin Czerwinski, and I'm a photographer and the editor/curator behind a small but passionate photography publication called nostr:npub1v02emwxjn2lznkmnszltjy4c7cqzxuejkmye0zeqs62wf0shpahswdmwuj. For over 15 years, I've been making photographs, and for nearly a decade, I've been running NOICE—where I share and celebrate the work of photographers who, like me, see the beauty in the curious, the humorous, and the colorful.
Photography, for me, is deeply personal. It's a way of connecting with the world and inviting others to see it through my eyes. By sharing my vision, I hope to inspire others to pick up a camera and start documenting the world around them, finding joy in the unexpected and the everyday.
Joining Nostr feels both intimidating and exciting. It's a new frontier, full of possibilities, and I'm glad to be part of it. Here, I hope to share more freely—my photography, my thoughts on life, and my musings on everything from Bitcoin, trading, science and beyond. The freedom to express without censorship is a value, and I look forward to exploring it here.

Hi - I can't comment exactly what would work best in your case, but I agree on not just shoveling your nsec into random websites.
The alby approach is far better. I recommend you run your own node. In my case, I run a start9 server and node and with a few clicks I got connected to my node. So... I don't think (besides the Alby SW) there is much to trust. I must admit I was lazy and didn't check if the SW is open source on github, which I recommend doing as well.

Cool, besides a quick search on lightning address, I recommend Primal nostr client, it has a built-in app with LN address that should be something like RandomHandle@primal.net --> Put that in your nostr profile and your posts will be automatically zappable.
